new baby gift guide.

Introducing a new baby into the world is a joyous occasion that calls for thoughtful and practical gifts. While adorable stuffed animals and tiny outfits are adored by many, new parents often find themselves in need of more useful items. By selecting gifts that are not only cute but also functional, you can truly make a difference in the lives of the new parents and their precious bundle of joy. (ps. all of these are things that were essential for us with our LOUD precious bundle of joy.

  1. This little play mat is the best. It’s cute and neutral so it doesn’t totally ruin the aesthetic of your living room, the mat cover is reversible and washable, and it folds up for travel! Comes in two beautiful pastel color ways.

  2. Teething is a struggle for any little one and their parents. This fridababy teether is amazing, and is cold while not freezing off baby’s little hands!

  3. Sometimes you want baby to be snug but your arms just need a break. This infant lounger will keep baby snug and secure but let you get some things done, or even just have your hands free. Comes in several beautiful neutral colors.

  4. Diaper changing is never particularly easy, but these double-zip sleepers make it a little easier so you don’t have to take baby’s pajamas completely off. These are especially great for those late night changes and blowouts.

  5. Whether or not you bottle feed or breastfeed (remember, fed is best!) you will use bottles at some point! It’s hard to know what kind of bottle a new baby will prefer, so why not give them some options? The bottle box from Babylist is great to try out different bottles without committing first!

  6. This rocker “offers soothing comfort for your baby and allows you to go hands-free in 2 modes of use: rocking and stationary. Whether you’re playing with your little one or they’re just relaxing while you take care of a few chores, Kori has you covered.” We loved this thing so much, and it was the best!

  7. Some babies love tummy time, and some (like our Faye) hate it. But this little crinkle book was a lifesaver. It stands up, has a mirror, and vivid images for baby to look at while on their tummy!

  8. This is one of the things that I saw on everyone’s baby registry and every parent’s countertop and thought was maybe overrated. Nope. It’s amazing. An incredible drying rack for bottles, breast pump pieces, pacis, and anything else that needs a good scrub!

  9. Sleep sacks are THE BEST. Babies can’t have blankets in the crib for at least a year. Enter, the sleep sack, i.e. a wearable blanket! Especially for our girl, who had to wear a hip harness and couldn’t be swaddled, sleep sacks were our lifesaver. They come in lots of different weights and materials. This one would be so cute for a baby born in the fall and winter!
